The [GreenNoob] clan is an international, instagib only playing team. Leader and founder of [GreenNoob] is z0vulon (z0vu) and he created the clan in the beginning of 2008. The favorite map of the clan is the old pirates. On this map the [GreenNoobs] are among the best players in Teeworlds. In the [GreenNoob] clan there are only professional players on the instagib mod. The clan only invites players who have much experience in playing these mod and all of them have to make a testweek to see if they are good enough. Because of this selection system the [GreenNoobs] are among the best clans on the instagib mod. This is also shown in the logs of the clanwar results.

Greennoob pirates tournament

On the 26th of May 2009 GreenNoob announced that they would host a 1on1 iCTF tournament on the fairly popular pirates map. Unlike many other tournaments this one will reward the winner with cash prizes. The number one winner will receive $ 30,- (€ 22,20) and the number two $ 10,- (€ 7,40). For this reason only players with a fully functional PayPal account can participate. To limit the number of players the GreenNoob clan will only accept those players that they recognize as experienced players. At the 1st of June a total of 36 players met these requirements and were accepted as participants.

Tournament setting

  • Players have until the 5th of June to register.
  • The tournament will be held from the 8th of June onwards from 18.30 to 21.00 (GMT+1), only on weekdays.
  • All games of the tournament will be played on the very first version of the pirates map.
  • The mod will be instagib, without laserjumps.
  • It will be 1 versus 1 games of 2 rounds. Each player plays one time on red and one time on blue, with the combined team score deciding the winner. When the team scores of both games add up to the same the individual player score will be used.
  • There will be 15 minute time limit.
  • Players will meet each other in a randomized pyramid structure.
  • Suicide is allowed as a valid tactic.
